EASY

I drift into the pain

All the time

You interrupted my life!

TJ POEM COMBAT VET

Now I lay me down to sleep

I pray the Lord my soul to keep

If I die before I wake

I pray the Lord my soul to take

In my youth I learned of war

So young…so filled with honor and vision.

TJ POEM EAGLE FLIGHT

FLIGHT OF THE EAGLES

Look out Charlie here I come,
I’m coming after you in a bird of prey.
The Eagle flights…The flight of Eagles

I’m coming for you in an American Bird
Killing you’s gonna make my day.
Come on grunts it’s gonna be fun
Let’s go make “Ole Charlie” run!

The blades are churning on this bird of prey.
My blood is burning!
I’m coming round just to ruin your day
I’ll come at you from up above
I’ll come at you from on the ground
I’ll come at you from all around.

I’m on a kill Charlie “HIGH”
You killed my buddies now your gonna die!

RISKY SHORT TIMER STORY

RISKY AND REVEDY

Delta Company was at a hardspot called Shamrock, down by the Sugar Mill. It was September 1969. I'd been in country 11 months and 3 weeks. I was so short I could sit on a dime and my feet didn't even touch the ground. I was so short I could walk under a snake and not even have to duck....so fuckin' short!

DEDICATION

To the nurses, helicopter pilots, and medics that were not satisfied with just doing their jobs.  Vietnam demanded that they do more, and they responded with dignity.

This book also belongs to civilians and soldiers the world over, who when life treated them unfairly, did not walk away.

Don Blairs Arlington poem

Donald F. Blair

On October 17, 1993, over 400 arborists from the United States and Canada donated a days work to the American people. The value of the labor and services was estimated to be at least $250,000.00, with many more thousands of dollars represented in out-of-pocket expenses incurred in wages, equipment and materials expense. This prose is an impression of the day from “can’t see to can’t see” from one who was there.
